Jackson's Cotton Art boards are portable, 3mm thick surfaces suitable for use with Oils and Acrylics. They consist of a sheet of medium texture, universal primed cotton canvas glued to a backing panel of thick card.

These high quality Italian made canvas panels are more solid than regular art panels, they are made from 3.2mm thick MDF board with fine grain 100% cotton canvas glued to the front surface. The canvas has a sheared edge, and is universal primed making it suitable for oils, acrylics, mixed media etc.

The 115gsm (4oz) traditional medium texture weave cotton used on these Premium Cotton Canvas Boards is suitable for oil and acrylic painting - from thin washes to thick impasto marks, and is universally primed to 240gsm (7oz) to protect the natural fibres of the cotton. Each board is 4mm thick and extremely rigid, with the canvas wrapped around the edges and glued to compressed cardboard. - This is a single Premium Cotton Canvas Art Board, 4mm, 3x4in (7x10cm) in size

Belle Arti Cradled Gesso panels are handmade in Italy, and suitable for a wide variety of techniques including oil, acrylic, pencil, watercolour and ink. The extremely stable poplar 6mm plywood base is finished with a very smooth, absorbent acrylic gesso surface. The fine surface is ideal for detailed work. The unprimed cradled frame behind the panel makes a work feel more modern, as well as allowing a 3-D effect. It also means a work can be hung professionally without the addition of a frame, if you so desire. The external depth of the cradle is 38mm with the frame measuring 12mm in width.They are very absorbent so you may wish to use extra oil if using oil paint. May not be absorbent enough for use with egg tempera which usually needs genuine gesso (made with rabbit skin glue and whiting).
