This publication reports on the archeological results of ten years of cultural resource inventory conducted within nine of Alaska's national parks and preserves.

You cannot pitch a tent They in most cases provide all facilities that you find on campsites as well, like power, toiletts, shower, facilities to refill water and get rid of your waste water. They sometimes not as scenic, but are a good spot to stay for a couple of nights. Many of them are situated in towns, so it is easy from there to get into town by foot. The most surprising fact is, that they charge for the pitch and not per person. About 80% of them charge less than 9 Pounds per night including 2 persons, often power is included as well.
