She’s back. The Thirteenth Doctor is returning for the thirteenth series, a six-part Event Serial.

Since their last epic battle in Revolution of the Daleks, the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) and Yaz (Mandip Gill) have been exploring the universe together but with the Doctor now questioning everything about her past she will undoubtedly be searching for answers…

This adrenalin fuelled, universe-spanning series will also see an addition to the TARDIS with actor and comedian John Bishop (Accused) joining the cast as Dan Lewis. Dan will quickly learn there’s more to the Universe than he could ever believe.

Series 13 will introduce some terrifying new adversaries and the return of truly iconic old enemies. Expect action, fun, scares and extraordinary new worlds as the Doctor and her friends confront a deadly evil.

An Unearthly Child
Susan Foreman is a mystery to teachers Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright, seemingly knowing more than she should about the past... and the future. Their curiosity leads them to follow her home one night, only to find that her 'home' appears to be a deserted junkyard. In the junkyard, they discover a police telephone box and a strange old man, who claims to be Susan's grandfather, and calls himself the Doctor. The journey of a lifetime is about to begin...

The Daleks
The Tardis lands in an alien, petrified jungle, beyond which lies a mysterious, deserted city. The Doctor insists on exploring, but before long the Tardis crew all begin experiencing the early effects of radiation sickness. And then they discover that the metal city isn't as deserted as they first thought...

The Edge of Destruction
Something has caused the Tardis console to explode in mid-flight, plunging the ship into darkness and rendering the crew unconscious. As they slowly recover, they find themselves suffering from loss of memory, and headaches. The Tardis behaves oddly, as the doors open and close of their own accord. Has the ship been possessed in some way, or is something more dangerous happening to the time traveller

Episodes 1 and 4 of this adventure are missing from the BBC archives, and so Nicholas Courtney (the Brigadier) fills in the narrative. The Doctor (Patrick Troughton), Jamie and Zoe arrive in late 20th century London to discover that something fishy is going on at Tobias Vaughan's electronics factory. A scientist has gone missing, and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and the newly formed UNIT are on the case. What does Vaughan produce in his factory, and who are the creatures he speaks to through that revolving whirring device in his office cupboard? It can only be the Cybermen, out to invade the Earth and convert humankind. Resistance is useless, but the Doctor and UNIT will have a go anyway.

A mysterious light in the sky, an unnatural glow in the ocean and a thick fog bring terror to the lighthouse keepers of Fang Rock.

When the Doctor and Leela arrive, the first death has already cast doubt on the safety of the lighthouse. But the Doctor discovers something more terrifying and evil than even he could have imagined.

The sci-fi series dips its toe into Agatha Christie waters when the Doctor (Peter Davison) arrives in 1920s England and becomes embroiled in a murder mystery. When the TARDIS arrives at Cranleigh Halt railway station on a summer afternoon in 1925, the Doctor and his pals are surprised to be met by a chauffeur (Timothy Block) and whisked off to a cricket match. Lord Cranleigh (Michael Cochrane) has assumed that the Doctor has come from Guy's Hospital for the charity event to be held later that night in aid of a sick kids' hospital. There then follows a masked ball, a case of mistaken identity and mysterious, murderous goings on in this two-part homage to the golden age of English whodunnits.

The newly regenerated Doctor (Tom Baker), assisted by Sarah, Harry and the Brigadier, has to track down the theft of the components for a powerful new laser gun, and the death of a prominent politician. Sarah investigates the mysterious Think Tank, where it becomes clear that robot K-1 is being misused by its political extremist masters and the Doctor has to prevent the robot from being used to start an atomic war. An early adventure for the sixth incarnation of everyone's favourite time traveller. The Doctor (Colin Baker) and Peri arrive in 1985 London shortly after avoiding a collision with Halley's comet, lured by a galactic distress call. They discover that the city's sewers are populated by Cybermen, intent on changing history by preventing the destruction of their home planet, Mondas (see 'Doctor Who: The Tenth Planet'). It transpires that the distress call which attracted the Doctor's attention was sent by none other than former Dalek ally Commander Lytton, but just whose side is he on this time?

The first story from the final season of Sylvester McCoy's tenure as the Doctor. The Doctor and Ace arrive on Earth in the late 1990s where they become involved in a battle between King Arthur and Morgaine. However, these are not the heroes of Britain's past but warriors from another dimension - and they recognise the Doctor as the wizard Merlin. As usual it is down to the Doctor and Ace to save the planet, but this time they find some help in the guise of the Doctor's old UNIT ally, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart.

Arriving on a seemingly deserted Earth, the Doctor, Sarah (Elisabeth Sladen) and Harry (Ian Marter) soon discover a crew of shipwrecked astronauts from a distant Earth colony. Lured there by a fake distress call, the astronauts are being experimented on by the deadly Sontarans in preparation of a full-scale invasion of the planet. Can the Doctor defeat Sontaran Field-Marshall Styre (Kevin Lindsay) and save the world?

Another adventure for everyone's favourite Time Lord. The Doctor (Tom Baker) and Romana take a holiday on the planet Argolis, in the giant pleasure dome known as the Leisure Hive. Unbeknown to them, Pangol, the son of the Argolin leader Mena, is planning to provoke a war with their age-old enemies the Foamasi, using the Tachyon Recreation Generator to create an army of duplicates of himself.

In the peaceful village of Devil’s End something very strange is happening. A professor is preparing to open a nearby burial mound and a local has foresees death and disaster. Meanwhile, the new vicar looks suspiciously like the Master and he is using black magic to conjure up an ancient Dæmon.

Can the Doctor, Jo and UNIT stop their old enemy before he succeeds?

Two episodes of the classic sci-fi series featuring the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison, and the shape-changing android Kamelion. In 'The King's Demons' (1983), the renegade Time Lord forces Kamelion (Gerald Flood) to pose as King John in 13th century England. 'Planet of Fire' (1983) sees the Doctor (Davison) and Turlough (Mark Strickson) arriving in Lanzarote on Earth to investigate the transmission of an unusual signal that turns out to be emanating from a mysterious alien artefact.

The Doctor (Patrick Troughton) and Jamie arrive at space station J7 to ask the Doctor's old friend Dastari to cease his experiments in time travel. The station is invaded, and when Doctor number 6 (Colin Baker) and Peri arrive, they find a shell-shocked Jamie claiming that the Doctor has been killed. It is in fact all part of a Sontaran plot to discover the secrets of time travel, which necessitates a trip to Seville to rescue the earlier incarnation of the Time Lord. Patrick Troughton's last appearance as the Doctor.

Compilation of a six-part story from the popular sci-fi series. The Doctor (William Hartnell), Ian, Barbara and Susan return to Earth in the year 2167 only to find that the Daleks have occupied the planet. They join the human resistance movement in an attempt to overthrow the Daleks, who are mining the core of the planet for a sinister purpose of their own. This story was remade into a film, 'Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD', starring Peter Cushing as the Doctor.
