“Pappa!” roep Johannes. “Pappa, kyk net!”. “Stil!” roep meneer
Blom. “Ek kry nie gewerk nie!”. “Maar jy moet kyk, Pappa,” se Nella
Della.
Meneer Blom kyk. “Wat is dit?” vra hy effens
knorrig, asof hy vies is dat hulle hom oor so ’n kleinigheid pla.
Bloms wonder egter of hulle ooit weer normale mense sal word!.
Wiplala verskyn oorspronklik in 1957 in Nederlands.

Nestled deep in the snowy mountains of the Lost Range, the village of
Reverie is a small miracle. Beyond the reach of the Sun, Reverie is
dependent upon the magic of the mysterious Starmaker: every morning, he
trudges across a vast glacier and pulls in sunlight over the peaks,
providing the village with the light it needs to survive.
Aurora Finch grew up on tales of the Starmaker’s magic, never imagining
she’d one day meet him. But on the morning of her wedding, a fateful
encounter in the frostbitten woods changes everything. The Starmaker
senses a powerful magic within her and demands she come study under his
guidance. With her newfound abilities tied to the survival of the
village, Aurora is swept away to his ice-covered castle and far from
everything she’s ever known.
The Starmaker is as cold and distant as the mountain itself, leaving
Aurora to explore his enchanted castle alone. Yet the more she
discovers about the sorcerer, the stronger their attraction grows,
pulling her closer to the secrets he refuses to share. But a deadly
frost approaches and Aurora must uncover what the Starmaker is hiding
before she is left in an endless winter that even the Sun cannot touch.
A gorgeously written tale as lush and romantic as it is ferocious ... Absolutely spellbinding - New York Times bestselling author Alexandra Bracken

But Winter Solstice is finally near, and with it a hard-earned reprieve. Yet even the festive atmosphere can't keep the shadows of the past from looming. As Feyre navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady, she finds that those dearest to her have more wounds than she anticipated – scars that will have a far-reaching impact on the future of their court.

groter is as jou duim.
Haar eerste probeerslag loop egter skeef, en so
It was a very fine day, until something tried to eat him. A boy
called Christopher is visiting his reclusive grandfather when he
witnesses an avalanche of mythical creatures come tearing down the
hill. This is how Christopher learns that his grandfather is the
guardian of one of the ways between the non-magical world and a
place called the Archipelago, a cluster of magical islands where
all the creatures we tell of in myth live and breed and thrive
alongside humans. They have been protected from being discovered
for thousands of years; now, terrifyingly, the protection has worn
thin, and creatures are breaking through. Then a girl, Mal, appears
in Christopher’s world. She is in possession of a flying coat, is
being pursued by a killer and is herself in pursuit of a baby
griffin. Mal, Christopher and the griffin embark on an urgent quest
across the wild splendour of the Archipelago, where sphinxes hold
secrets and centaurs do murder, to find the truth – with
unimaginable consequences for both their worlds. Together the two
must face the problem of power, and of knowledge, and of what love
demands of us.
Is daardie veer dalk regtig ’n hekseveer?
Kell is one of the last magicians with the ability to travel
between parallel universes, linked by the magical city of London.

dying body back into Black London. Now Kell is visited by dreams of
ominous magical events, waking only to think of Lila. And as Red
London prepares for the Element Games-an international competition
of magic-a certain pirate ship draws closer. But another London is
coming back to life. The balance of magic is perilous, and for one
city to flourish, another must fall...
