GYPSY RICKWOOD'S FORTUNE TELLING BOOK. By Gypsy Rickwood. This
intriguing book on the mystic art of fortune telling was first
published in the 1920s, and is very scarce in its first edition.
OBSCURE BOOKS PRESS has now re-published it using the original
text. Gypsy Rickwood wrote this book "for the English speaking
public in the hope that would give good counsel to many, and some
amusement to those who regard it simply as a game." His method is a
very old one, practiced by wandering tribes of gypsies long before
it was ever set down roughly on paper, and the answers to the
questions have been slightly modernized by the original translator.
One hundred and twenty five pages are divided into the fifty four
questions which a fortune teller is most likely to be asked. These
are almost always on four main subjects: - Concerning Life. -
Concerning Love. - Concerning Chance. - The Last Lap. (Old age and
the distant Future.) The gypsy's reply depends upon a turn of the
card, with some 3000 answers listed in the book. The author
emphasises that the accuracy of the answers depends largely on the
sincerity of the questioner. If questions of an unsuitable nature
are asked, the answers should be given in the same frivolous vein
This is a most entertaining little book which will prove both a
source of amusement to some and thought provoking to others. "From
the truth to a lie is but a hands-breadth." Romany Proverb.
Predict your future, reveal your past and understand your
personality, talents and secrets with the art of chiromancy.
Palmistry is not just about the lines on the hands, but the hand as
a whole is just as important. This book will introduce you to the
four basic hand shapes within palmistry, explaining the different
elements and their associated traits, and how to observe the palm's
natural topography - the lines and markings and the mounts and
plains. The Little Book of Palmistry will help you discover more
about yourself and become more familiar with one of the oldest and
most reliable of fortune-telling arts. SAMPLE QUOTE: 'If you look
deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and
all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this
moment. Each is present in your body. You are the continuation of
each of these people.' - Thich Nhat Hanh SAMPLE FACT: The best time
to read a palm is in the morning, not long after the subject has
woken up from nocturnal slumber and before he has had anything to
eat or drink. This is so because consumption of food and
participation in physical activities leads to increased blood
circulation, which does not allow the very fine lines along the
palm to be noticed.

Long ago, before trees were used for their pulp and fiber to bind our stories, they were story protectors of a different kind. As legend and druids can tell you, there are places on the planet where the veil between worlds is thin, and the trees were guardians of these sacred spaces. During that age, if one was lucky, one might encounter a door in the trunk of a tree, known as a duirwaigh, a portal between magical worlds.
The contents of this oracle were entrusted to me from a Tree Keeper in Lapland who guarded the ancient groves. The Tree Keeper gifted me her legacy book. Tree Keepers Oracle is derived from that tome.
Tree Keepers Oracle includes 44 cards, 108-page lushly illustrated guidebook, and organza drawstring pouch.
Some special features of Volume I include: complete sample
character readings with step-by-step guidelines, and illustrations
of how to resolve the conflicts and ambiguities present in any
character reading.
