The gift of the Toltec is the ability to transcend ordinary human
awareness and achieve personal freedom - the ability to choose how
to act rather than react to the events in your life. The three
Toltec Masteries of Awareness, Transformation, and Intent are the
key to transcending your limitations and experiencing yourself as
the creator of your life. Designed to make Toltec wisdom accessible
and simple, this book is about change, changing yourself, and the
wildly empowering freedom of personal responsibility. Included in
each chapter are exercises and guided visualisations. You will find
that some of the most important knowledge is hidden in the
parable-like stories that are scattered throughout the book. This
new edition of The Toltec Way is part of the Essential Wisdom
Library, a collection of books bringing sacred wisdom to modern
readers. Refreshed with a new design, inside cover printing, a new
introduction by the author, and also including a foreword by don
Miguel Ruiz, The Toltec Way will introduce a new generation of
readers to the power of Toltec wisdom.

This important work explains how to use visualizations, meditations
and affirmations for self-transformation. Mark L. Prophet and
Elizabeth Clare Prophet are world-renowned authors and pioneers of
modern spirituality. They have conducted seminars and workshops
throughout the world on spiritual topics, including angels, the
aura, soul mates, prophecy, spiritual psychology, reincarnation,
practical spirituality and the mystical paths of the world's
religions. They have also published a number of popular books on
these topics. Mark passed on in 1973 and Elizabeth has carried on
their work.
Since the dawn of history people have used charms and spells to try
to control their environment, and forms of divination to try to
foresee the otherwise unpredictable chances of life. Many of these
techniques were called 'superstitious' by educated elites. For
centuries religious believers used 'superstition' as a term of
abuse to denounce another religion that they thought inferior, or
to criticize their fellow-believers for practising their faith
'wrongly'. From the Middle Ages to the Enlightenment, scholars
argued over what 'superstition' was, how to identify it, and how to
persuade people to avoid it. Learned believers in demons and
witchcraft, in their treatises and sermons, tried to make
'rational' sense of popular superstitions by blaming them on the
deceptive tricks of seductive demons. Every major movement in
Christian thought, from rival schools of medieval theology through
to the Renaissance, the Reformation, and the Enlightenment, added
new twists to the debates over superstition. Protestants saw
Catholics as superstitious, and vice versa. Enlightened
philosophers mocked traditional cults as superstitions. Eventually,
the learned lost their worry about popular belief, and turned
instead to chronicling and preserving 'superstitious' customs as
folklore and ethnic heritage. Enchanted Europe is the first
comprehensive, integrated account of western Europe's long, complex
dialogue with its own folklore and popular beliefs. Drawing on many
little-known and rarely used texts, Euan Cameron constructs a
compelling narrative of the rise, diversification, and decline of
popular 'superstition' in the European mind.
A classic text on esoteric traditional herbalism from one of the
most influential herbalists of the Paris occult revival * Includes
a dictionary of nearly 300 magical plants with descriptions of each
plant's scientific name, common names, elemental qualities, ruling
planets, and zodiacal signatures, with commentary on medico-magical
properties and uses * Explores methods of phytotherapy and plant
magic, including the Paracelsian "transplantation of diseases,"
ritual pacts with trees, the secret ingredients of witches'
ointments, and the composition of magical philters * Explains the
occult secrets of phytogenesis, plant physiology, and plant
physiognomy (classification of plants according to the doctrine of
signatures) Merging the scientific discipline of botany with
ancient, medieval, and Renaissance traditions of occult herbalism,
this seminal guide was first published in French in 1902 as a
textbook for students of Papus's Ecole hermetique and sparked a
revival in the study of magical herbalism in early
twentieth-century France. Author Paul Sedir, pseudonym of Yvon Le
Loup (1871-1926), explains the occult secrets of phytogenesis (the
esoteric origin and evolutionary development of the plant kingdom),
plant physiology (the occult anatomy of plants), and plant
physiognomy (classification of plants according to the doctrine of
signatures). Unveiling the mysteries behind planetary and zodiacal
attributions, he provides readers with the keys to make their own
informed determinations of the astral properties of plants. Moving
from theory into practice, Sedir explores various methods of
phytotherapy and plant magic, including the Paracelsian
"transplantation of diseases," the secret ingredients of witches'
ointments, and the composition of magical philters. In the third
section of the book, Sedir offers a dictionary of magical plants
that covers nearly 300 plant species with descriptions of their
astral signatures, occult properties, and medico-magical uses.
Compiled from an array of rare sources and esoterica, this classic
text includes a wealth of additional materials and supplemental
charts and diagrams drawn from Sedir's occult colleagues, all of
whom adopted and expanded upon Sedir's pioneering system of plant
correspondences.
Rupert's Tales continue with four new adventure stories in The
Nature of Elements. Rupert the rabbit learns how courage,
acceptance, compassion, and helping others are connected to the
classical elements of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. In "The Courage
to Fly," Grandmother Spinner teaches Rupert that knowledge is only
the beginning of wisdom when she asks for his help with a bird who
has fallen from the sky. Rupert discovers in "Some Like It Hot"
that the Element of Fire is the realm of action and turning words
into deeds. When Dylan the dolphin is stuck far from the sea in
"The Mystery of Lessons," Rupert receives a lesson in compassion
when Grandmother Spinner asks for his help once more, and, finally,
Rupert is rewarded for his assistance in "The Sounds of Earth" when
he helps Erik the earthworm finally get some sleep. Includes 39
vibrant illustrations. For ages 5-8.
"The Secret Source" reveals the actual occult doctrines that
gave birth to "The Law of Attraction" and later inspired the media
phenomenon known as "The Secret." Follow the trail into ancient
Egypt to uncover where the law of attraction was first recorded,
and how it was brought back to America to foment the New Thought
movement and the prosperity cults of modern times.
The new, enlarged edition will have a new section on Sex Magic
and its relationship with the law of attraction.
Maja D'Aoust conducts popular lectures on esoterica.
Adam Parfrey is releasing this fall a visual history of
fraternal orders, "Ritual America."

Who, or what, is the Green Man, and why is this medieval image so
present in our precarious modern times? An encounter with a carving
of the Green Man at an ancient church leads Nina Lyon on a search
to track him down in all his various guises. Against a backdrop of
mountains, forests, rivers and stone circles, a cult of the Green
Man emerges, as Nina explores his meaning and how he came into
being. Meanwhile, in the woods, from an overgrown Welsh railway
line to leafy London suburbia, strange things are happening . . .
Throughout history, throughout most of the world, psychopaths have
received a bad rap. That is quite understandable since almost all
of the world's religious and social philosophies have little use
for the individual except as a tool to be placed in service to
their notion of something else: "God" or the "collective" or the
"higher good" or some other equally undefinable term. Only rarely,
such as in Zen and Tibetan Buddhism, and some school of
Existentialism, is the individual considered primal. Here, finally,
is a book which celebrates, encourages and educates the best part
of ourselves -- the Psychopath.
