The Learner's Book consists of Section A and Section B. Section A introduces the learners to basic mapwork skills such as: using map keys, writing directions, working out scale and distance, giving and finding directions and bearings, drawing contours, identifying maps, photos, orthophotos and satellite images. In Section B, learners apply the skill learnt in Section A by completing the exercises based on the maps and photos provided. Features include: colour pages with up-to-date 1:50 000 maps, grids of latitude and longitude and alpha-numeric grids on all maps, black and white aerial photos, orthophotos, colour satellite images.
