White Gesso Primer is a unique formulation which needs no dilution. This product is highly adhesive and is ideal for directly sealing all semi-absorbent surfaces before applying colour – both acrylics and oils. Daler Rowney’s White Gesso Primer is suitable for both interior and exterior applications. It dries quickly to produce a matt white surface, with a slight tooth, which is easily sanded for highly detailed work.

A flexible acrylic ground with a high grit content designed to provide a stable white surface on which to paint. Atelier Gesso may be used directly from the container for all over thick textural effects.

• Provides the ideal tooth for oil and chalk pastel, graphite and charcoal.

• Using a medium to soft brush coat your chosen box canvas, stretch canvas or canvas panel with a generous layer of clear Acrylic Gesso Primer.
• Allow it to dry thoroughly as per instructions on the label.
• Apply oil or acrylic paint to primed canvas.
• *Clean up using warm, soapy water
