Bouncing along on the hard wagon seat, Lacey is veraciously giddy
as she and her Uncle Robert travel to London for new farm
machinery. After all, Leicester, the small farming community of her
birth, is a completely different world. London in the 1790s awakens
Lacey's senses, her graceful deportment, her unquenchable thirst
for knowledge, and her fascination with fashions. When Robert
thwarts a ruffian stealing a necklace from the Duchess of Richmond,
Lacey plunges into the world of London's aristocracy, acutely
aware, though, that she must return to the farm. Months later,
Lacey returns to London in a posh coach when the Duchess offers to
educate Lacey and develop her talents as a seamstress. Despite her
love for her family, Lacey's heart longs to go. As Lacey settles
in, she encounters those who snub her humble background. Determined
to prove she can change the fashion world, Lacey becomes a top
courtier. Finally successful, she struggles with the horrific war
that's raging and her conflicting feelings for the brutally
handsome Charles and the warm Edmund. "Lacey" provides a
fascinating peek into late eighteenth-century England, when fashion
was coming into its own. Wrap yourself in the rich tapestry of
Lacey's story from beginning to end
Criminals usually commit their crimes which generate madness
around midnight while innocent people are fast asleep in their
beds. It was almost midnight when Erin Andrews witnessed a drug
exchange between two boats at Folly Beach near Charleston, S.C.
Also that same night Erin was caught spying on two Coast Guard
officers as they filmed the actual drug exchange before arresting
the crooks involved.
It was almost midnight when Jess Reynolds was eyewitness to a
brutal murder near the Folly Beach harbor; it was almost midnight
when a beautiful blond disappears on a cruise ship never to be seen
alive again. It was a little after midnight when two bodies washed
up on shore believed to be those belonging to two of the missing
drug dealers.
Now Erin, Jess and Captain Logan Maxwell are thrown together as
they try to find the missing girl and end the crime-ridden spree of
a cruel murder before any more innocent bystanders are killed. Erin
and Logan's growing passion for each other ignites the wrath of a
ruthless killer and Erin's generaous nature leads her into deadly
peril. Can this case be solved before another murder is committed
and can true love survive when danger lurks from every corner?

Squadron in World War Two. Utilizing those experiences, rare in
today's literary world, he has written a fascinating account of
that remarkable period in American history and laced it with an
