Modern medicine has separated man from nature. The author, a
homoeopathic practitioner, contends that it is this inability to
recognize wholeness that has caused medicine to reach a dead end.
Parallel to the development of consciousness to its modern
scientific objectivity Twentyman discovers a changing pattern of
health and disease in society. The prevalence of diseases like
cancer and Parkinson's and new diseases like AIDS appears as part
of this history. He regards the understanding of wholeness leads to
the rediscovery of healing in its deeper sense to be a true art.

Find simple and effective home remedies such as: To relieve a dry,
irritating cough: to 1/3 pt (200ml) boiling water, add the juice of
1 lemon, 2 tsp honey, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1 clove garlic, and a sprig
of rosemary. Stir well, cover and leave for 15 mins. Strain and sip
slowly. To relieve eczema, steep 1/2 ounce (13 grams) chamomile
flowers in 1 pint (600 milliliters) boiling water for 20 minutes
and add to a bath. To relieve tension in the upper body, sit
cross-legged, block the ears with your fingers. Breathe in, then
breathe out making a humming sound to lengthen the exhalation.
Repeat 10 times before going to bed. To remove makeup, coat the
fingers with almond, sunflower, or avocado oil and spread evenly
over the face and neck. Remove the oil with tissues. Saturate a

have one or more chronic health conditions. One in four adults has
two or more chronic health conditions. And, sadly, these numbers
continue to grow at an alarming rate. The Holistic Rx offers the
reader with one or more chronic health conditions or symptoms
easy-to-follow evidence-based approaches to healing their ailments
by targeting inflammation and its underlying root causes. Dr.

health and detoxification, and the Four Big S's (stress management,
sleep strategies, social and spiritual health), along with
disease-specific supplements homeopathy, acupressure, aromatherapy,
, other holistic remedies to achieve lasting good health and
wellness. The first part of the book addresses the root of chronic
illness-inflammation-and examines its underlying causes and
possible treatment approaches that focus on the whole body rather
than just the affected area. In the second part of the book, she
first advises the reader on adjusting their holistic approach to
their health conditions based on their individual needs. Then,
after briefly describing various integrative approaches, she
provides an A-to-Z guide to holistic and integrative treatment of
over 70 chronic illnesses, conditions, and symptoms. For each
condition, she outlines a healing plan that begins with digestive
health and detoxifications and the four S's specific to that organ
system and covers the additional alternative, holistic, and
complementary approaches that are most effective for that
condition. This ready resource will help the whole family address
their most common complaints and promotes a healthy, balanced
lifestyle that focuses on overall wellness.

Washington Carey (1845-1924) was an American physician known for a
number of 1910s 'Chemistry of Life' publications, a subject which
he referred to as biochemistry, particularly his 1919 "The
Chemistry of Human Life." Carey combined a mixture of religion,
astrology, physiology, anatomy, and chemistry, themed particularly
with a mineral-based theory of human disease, to develop his
theories. Carey is popular among the new-age and homeopathic
circles. In the context of a person viewed as a "human molecule,"
Carey was the first to state that a person's body is a "chemical
formula in operation." This title is the first part: "Relation of
the Mineral Salts of the Body to the Signs of the Zodiac," of this
classic and later publication; "The Zodiac and the Salts of
Salvation." With the renewed interest in homeopathy, increased
study of astrology and the entrance of the Aquarian Age, this book
has gained more importance. It is an attempt to answer all the
questions regarding the cell salts.
Homeopathic medicine is able to help even the most severe cases of
mental illness, as convincingly demonstrated by the popular and
respected homeopathic doctors, Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman and Robert
Ullman in this book. They show alternatives to the widely used
antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, mood stabilizers and
anti-psychotics which often have which often have side effects and
which are unable to satisfactorily resolve the underlying problems.
Using examples from their own practice, they describe impressive
long-term successful treatments for depression, anxiety, bipolar
disorder and other types of mental illness. Homeopaths will also
find this book, a revision of the popular Prozac Free,
exceptionally helpful, as the authors present many unusual remedies
such as Bismuth, Chocolate and Hydrogen. Psychiatrists,
psychologists, and other therapists can find here a truly promising
alternative to the use of conventional psychopharmaceuticals. A
book to inspire and motivate.
Dr Dorothy Shepherd offers a guide to the medicinal treatment of
first aid. For years she followed obediently the recognised,
well-troden paths of antiseptic and aseptic wound treatment, with
little or no medicinal aid, other than those already mentioned. She
then had the opportunity to study and apply first-aid methods in
surgical outpatients, private practice and a munition factory in
the First World War and the later a minor ailment clinic. She gave
up entirely the old methods and with the help of a devoted staff
applied these comparatively new homoeopathic ideas which have
proved successful.
