Hot Melt Glue Guns work in conjunction with Glue Gun Cartridges. The cartridges are cylindrical sticks of solid glue that melt when pushed through the glue gun. The gun uses a continuous-duty heating element to melt the plastic glue, which the user pushes through the gun either with a mechanical trigger mechanism on the gun, or with direct finger pressure. The glue is tacky when hot, and solidifies in a few seconds to one minute. Hot melt adhesives can also be applied by dipping or spraying, and are popular with hobbyists and crafters both for affixing and as an inexpensive alternative to resin casting.

This natural sea sponge is of a type commonly called “Honeycomb Sponges”.Growing naturally on the sea bed, their surfaces are irregular and varied making them ideal for use by specialist decorators and artists who wish to obtain “random” effects when applying paints.Sponges are also used, of course, for washing and bathing due to the copious amounts of liquid that they can retain.Honeycombs are one of over 5000 different types of sponge all of which have their own characteristics and their own advantages and disadvantages for the user. “Honeycombs”are expensive compared to others available but they should be robust enough for continued and prolonged use in decorative sponging. For less expensive sponges please look at our “Grass” sponges shown elsewhere on our website.

Using this ideal marbling paint, beautiful marble effects can be achieved on many different substrates. Suitable for use on plastic eggs and balls (always try a test area first on plastic objects), glass, acrylic, wood, papier mâché, blown eggs, candles, metal and polystyrene. All objects should be plain and paint-free. Papers, Japanese paper, many fabrics and silks can also be marbled using Marabu-easy marble. The paint is organic solvent based and is touch-dry after about 15 minutes. The paint is not permanent and will wipe off with a damp cloth after drying; therefore the decorated objects are not washable and not wash-resistant.
Similar to the white stencil brushes but the black bristle is slightly coarser. A wide range of sizes for the stenciller.
This is a warmer and more inviting white than most modern whites. It’s been used in Britain for centuries especially for decorative friezes.
This delicate touch of pink can evoke the French eighteenth century and the importance of details. Sophisticated and lightweight, it emphasises the grace of a more refined interior or work.
Fleur Designer’s Paint has the unusual trait of being gorgeous, intense, rich colour that also is extremely matte. This is because the silicates and fine minerals contained with in it refract and diffuse light making it completely different from traditional acrylics.
A strong, warm orange with a distinctive glow. Similar to that of sunsets in the tropics, perfect for upping the brightness and expressive impact of a piece or room. Possibly it could call to mind a cocktail bar waiting to entice you.
A yellowy, light olive green that reminds one of underwater summer grass. It will draw up strong associations of seventies furniture and can be used to really change a piece or room.
Taking inspiration from the wilderness of the eastern forest it is a pleasing and essential colour that can work well with bright colours.
This colour colour mimics the variety of hues of light blue on the walls of Capetown. Its fairly subtle but it’s brightness and vibrancy comes through even without the South African sun. It also is an absolute favourite of Jackson’s in-house photographer. |
