Nostalgic Pics-1 is a collection of my favorite old pictures of members of my family from our great parents to my parents and their siblings, when we were young. It also includes my own siblings when were young. Pictures date back to 1910 up to 1950s. I am now almost 80 (2014), but could not imagine seeing the baby picture of my mother, who would have turned 100+, when she was a baby in 1914, and many more pictures of her as teen-ager and up to the time she is raising her family, until she died in 1945 at age 30. I just feel nostalgic about her and others of that generation.

This book is a list of names. This list came from a website that lists the 100 most popular girls' and boys' names by year; we've listed the names for 2012. There are many baby-name books on the market, but none like this one. This book spells out the names, vertically down the page, and has a Bible verse attached to each letter of each name. While the verses were chosen at random, still, parents are going to recognize some clues of their new child's psychological, physical, or personality traits contained in the verses used for their baby's name. This is not intended by the author. But it is how the human brain and mind works. Why a list of names in an already over-crowded market of baby name books? Because this book reminds us all of the importance of caring for the next generation of our species, starting with the basics - parents, a home, and their name. Included in this book are spiritual clues to the new human being's future, contained within the parent's choice of their baby's name. The naming of a new child is usually a heart-warming event. Parents give months of thought to their child's future identity - do they hang a funny-sounding, but long-lasting family name on their baby, or do they make something up, hoping the name catches on and lasts for generations? Do they combine their names into a new name, or do they wait until the baby is born and 'tells' them what they want to be called? Another popular method of finding a baby's name is to name the child after someone famous. "Famous" can mean movie/rock stars, well-known people like President John Kennedy, or even characters from the Bible, as are noted in Donna's book, "The Bible Codes and Your Baby's Name." The hope of parents who name their children after famous people, or people famous from history, is that, perhaps having the same name, will somehow endow that Child with all the attributes of the famous person; hoping perhaps they'll acquire their own fame. Whatever parents decide, naming a new baby is a loving act that bonds the new family member to his or her loved ones. I hope you find your child's name contained within the lists of names on these pages, and that the experience brings you and your child closer together.

After a child is born one of the most important gifts we can bestow upon them is a name. A persons name is more than just a label or tag, while it is likely that few would have enjoyed success or advancement because of a good name there is little doubt that a poorly considered or inappropriate name can hold you back. While there are books containing larger lists of names available these are all too often impractical and the task of filtering can be overwhelming. Within this collection you will not find names such as Moon-Unit or Starburst, if these are the sorts of names you are after then I suggest you look elsewhere. When choosing a name remember that this little child in your arms will grow and their name needs to follow them throughout their lives and into their chosen profession. It is difficult to imagine a future containing too many Dr Moon-Units or Senator Starbursts. Do not think, though, that this is a collection of old fashioned and outdated names. There are names both old and modern, but we have sought to filter out names that may seem funny now but are only going to embarrass into the future retaining those which we are confident will stand the test of time.

This analysis system was originally used in ancient times by affluent families to name their children for a prosperous happy and healthy life. It has been documented many times over the last several thousand years and was for the most, kept a secret. When you see for yourself how accurate this system is, you will understand why it has been kept under wraps. From birth, your names shape and define your character, your personality, both your mental and physical health. More amazing, the letters from each of your names influence events at predetermined years throughout your life. Incredible, maybe, but true Name Reality shows you how, why and what you can do. The cover of my book describes the remarkable information at your fingertips. The introduction tells you the history and how you can use this system to your advantage. The chapters that follow show you how to crack the code to analyze yourself or another person and understand why people behave the way they do. Self-awareness gives you the opportunity to take better control of your life. It goes further and shows you how to modify a name or create a new vibrant positive name for you or your baby. Yes, incredible as it may seem, changing your name can change the way you live your life. This book gives you the opportunity to discover for yourself that this is real, a genuine reality, that names affect the lives of everybody on this planet. Name Reality shows why some of us appear to lead happy stress free lives and others do not. Name Reality shows why some years you try so hard but cannot get ahead. Parents unknowingly name their kids with a life of bliss, fame and fortune or sickness, doom and gloom. Since first publication 20 years ago, there has been both change and stability among favourite Irish names for children. This book lists and glosses more than 200 of the most popular Irish names for boys and girls. It gives a short, authoritative commentary on each headline name, offers a complete list of alternative spellings and anglicised forms, and contains notes on the origins of each name with particular reference to the original holders. It is comprehensively indexed and cross-referenced. The stability in the names arises from the fact that the 200 odd favourite names of 20 years ago are still in place. What has changed, however, is the pecking order within the overall list. Forenames of formerly Irish origin have advanced in recent times at the expense of names of English origin, so that, for instance, Sean, Connor and Cian are among the top 5 boys' names while all top 5 girls' names are purely Irish: Aoife, Ciara, Saoirse, Caoimhe and Niamh. |
