Every pigment requires a different volume of binder to bring it to the desired consistency. Please note that transparency information for each pigment is a guideline and will vary depending on the binding medium and how the pigment is milled.

Holbein Pigment Paste contains finely ground pigments suspended in a base of water, wetting agent, and dispersing agent. These intense colors have been developed as a base colorant with which to produce your own paint. There are no binders, fillers, or other chemicals added. They can be used as they are for block printing and monoprinting, and can be combined with a watersoluble binder such as gum arabic or acrylic emulsion to produce paint. Mix with a few drops of water until the desired tint is achieved.

When not in use, keep the container tightly closed, and clean brushes and tools in warm water immediately after use.

Please note: Holbein Pigment Paste does not contain any binder on its own and is not suitable as an actual paint unless a watersoluble binder or adhesive agent is added. It is recommended to test a small amount first to ensure compatibility. Pigment Paste cannot be used to produce oil paint.

R&F Pigment Sticks are oil paint manufactured with enough wax for the paint to be moulded into stick form. They allow the painter to draw or paint directly onto a surface without brushes, palettes, paint tubes, or solvents. Only the basic traditional materials are used: natural wax (beeswax & plant wax), linseed oil, and pigment. The result is an oil stick with a lipstick soft consistency.

R&F Pigment Sticks are formulated to be equal in quality to the finest oil paints. They are handmade in small batches and have none of the additives, extenders, substitutes, or facilitators that are commonly used in industrial production.

Inspired by traditional tailor's chalk, ArtGraf Tailor Shape is a rich, water-soluble block of pigment. It is extremely soft and provides artists with a wide range of shades depending on the amount of water used, from light, transparent tones to deep, rich, opaque colours. When diluted, the Tailor's Shape acts similarly to an ink, it can also be used dry as a drawing medium by itself. It can be used as an entire block to draw or paint with or colour can be picked up from the block with a brush, similarly to how you would use traditional watercolour paint. Each block measures 1.75 x 2 inches (4.45 x 5.08cm). This Tailor Shape is Ochre.
