sponsored by Constance magazine of which he was awarded the top three
prizes that his fashion career began in earnest.
Joop became a fashion editor at Neue Mode magazine until he left to
work independently as a freelance journalist and designer in 1971. In
1978 he launched his first fur collection which garnered rave reviews.
Joop introduced his first women’s ready to wear collection in the early
1980s followed by his first men’s wear collection. Shoes, jewelry,
