Music > Relaxation / meditation
Meditation album by the Canadian singer-songwriter. This permission-to-feel and safety-to-inquire of a record includes 11 relaxing meditation tracks which Morissette wrote together with Dave Harrington.
Morissette notes about writing the album: 'To all of you, reading this. Empaths, highly sensitives.Whether in person, or online, or at shows, or telepathically. Your love and presence and big brains, big souls and big hearts have repeatedly reminded me of why I am here. My connection with you each is a quality of warmth I thank all stars for. May this record be a tool and touchstone for you. May it comfort, uplift, shake the apple cart or offer whatever you may need through your days.'

In 1985 members of Duran Duran took a hiatus from their hectic
career to produce two very different bands and albums, the first
being Arcadia comprised of Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes and Roger
Taylor, the second being the guitar driven rock of the Power
Station with John and Andy Taylor (along with Robert Palmer and
Tony Thompson ). Arcadia, created between the Arena and Notorious
albums, it was originally going to be a project of "remakes" much
like Duran Duran's 1996 release Thank You. What it became was a
much more eloquent version of Duranie synth pop. This album gained
recognition from the sheer Duran connection, however, it featured
some of the most stylishly written pop tunes and produced four
singles. EMI. 1998.
Most Andrews Sisters compilations focus on the trio's phenomenal
run of singles in the late 1930s and early '40s. MUSIC LESSONS WITH
THE ANDREWS SISTERS bucks that trend by concentrating on the
group's work from the late '40s and early '50s. In this way, MUSIC
LESSONS is a unique collection, offering up 25 tracks of
lesser-known, yet thoroughly excellent material. Though the
Sisters' post-war period was less remarkable commercially, their
tight, intricate harmonies never lost any of their luster. Patty
Andrews gets a couple of solo spots, and guest appearances by Bing
Crosby and Red Foley mix things up a bit. Improved sound, and the
fact that many of these tracks are appearing on CD for the first
time, make this a special package for collectors and casual fans
alike.
