Originally developed as part of a mobile tank destroyer force in 1941, the M10 was composite solution to a complex problem. The US Army used a modified M4 Sherman chassis to transport a 76mm (3 inch) anti-aircraft gun in an open-top turret

The kit is molded in a forest green styrene and is provided on nine trees, plus the upper and lower hull, one fret of photo-etched parts, and two runs of black vinyl track. The detail is finely molded and there does not appear to be any flash on any of the parts or trees.

The German medium tank Pz.Kpfw. IV was the most produced German tank of the Second World War, it was in production from 1937 to 1945, and underwent several steps of improvement . Ausf'hrung (Mark) H is one of the better known variants and one of the more interesting ones. Due to typical protection skirts (Sch'rzen) mounted on the sides and the perimeter of the turret, the tank has acquired a typical look and was often mistaken by Soviet soldiers as the heavier T-VI "Tiger". The resemblance was so close that for a long time in the Soviet Army, this tank had the designation "Tiger" type 4. On the Eastern front, Ausf. H made its debut during the operation "Citadel" (Battle of "Kursk") and played a crucial role in the events that followed. The Panzer IV became the mainstay of the German Panzer divisions. It should be noted that the Panzer IV H was at that time the only weapon able to fight Soviet T-34's anfd KV-1's. The 1943 introduced Tigers and Panthers were not yet available in high enough in numbers to make an impact on the front .

At the end of World War II, new tanks with strong armor, Tiger and Panther, appeared in German tank units. To fight them, it was necessary to arm the American Sherman tanks with a stronger cannon instead of the former 75mm cannon. The result was an M4A3 (76) W with a 76 mm cannon. Another attraction was the special "wet" ammunition. In such tanks, water was mixed with the antifreeze mixture and the corrosion inhibitor in the spaces between the shells in the containers. The risk of detonation in the event of an enemy intervention or fire was therefore much lower. Production of the M4A3 (76) W variant lasted from March to December 1944, during which time 1925 such tanks were built.

Where the Panzer I and II were light tanks that spearheaded the early Blitzkrieg, the Panzer III series was envisioned as the tank fighter while the Panzer IV was to be the infantry support tank, initially armed with the 75mm L/24 main gun.
