QoR Masking Fluid is very useful for watercolourists to preserve white areas that would be too tiny or complex to paint around.

QoR Masking Fluid is a latex-based medium for masking areas of paper prior to applying colour washes. The consistency is perfect for masking finely detailed areas of your watercolour paintings, and it removes easily once dry. Dry thoroughly before painting. Do not leave masking fluid longer than 2 days on the paper. Masking fluid easily rubs off with a finger or eraser.

This product can be very difficult to remove from brushes after it dries, so we recommend dedicating a brush or tool for use with this product.

This masking fluid comes in a 59 ml bottle.

The applicator consists of a reservoir and applicator. The tip is 6.5mm long and 0.7mm diameter. This size makes masking out of fine areas such as petals, masts, windows, rigging etc. much easier There is a needle secured within the cap which fits securely in the applicator, ensuring it doesn't get clogged.

This bottle can be used with other fluids, including water when painting in watercolour and solvent when painting in cold wax.

The set contains Jackson's Masking Fluid (60ml), which is non-staining and suitable for masking areas of work needing protection when colour is applied in broad washes.

Easy to remove when Masking Fluid has dried with a rubber cement pick-up or even with your clean fingers. Be careful though, about leaving oils from your fingers when rubbing off the dried Masking Fluid, oils from your fingers can interfere with new applications of watercolour.

Once the Masking Fluid had been removed, either keep the white areas white or add fresh watercolour onto the preserved white area to retain maximum watercolour luminosity.

Can be applied to paper with a brush or pen and removed when dry with an eraser. Not suitable for use on damp paper or soft sized paper.

This Pebeo Synthetic Drawing Gum is a latex-free masking fluid which is used to keep areas of artwork free from paint and is to be used with ink, watercolour and gouache. It is best applied with either a brush or pen on the parts of artwork that you wish to be masked. Colour is then applied once the drawing gum is dry. Once the colours are completely dry, simply rub the gum with either your finger or an eraser to reveal the masked parts.

It is not recommended that the Synthetic Drawing Gum is thinned and should be used as is, straight from the bottle.

Pebeo Synthetic Drawing Gum is also available in a 45ml bottle and a pen.
