Michael Cimino writes and directs this large-scale Western starring Kris Kristofferson and Christopher Walken. Set in the late 1800s in Johnson County, Wyoming, the film follows the conflict between American cattlemen and European immigrants. Harvard graduate James Averill (Kristofferson) is appointed marshal to keep the peace, but clashes with his friend, gunfighter Nate Champion (Walken), who is working for land baron Frank Canton (Sam Waterston). Champion, like Averill, is vying for the attentions of Ella Watson (Isabelle Huppert), the madam of the local brothel, which only adds to the rivalry between the two men. Soon the situation in Johnson County worsens and war breaks out with disastrous consequences. The cast also includes Joseph Cotton, Jeff Bridges, John Hurt and Mickey Rourke.

Western revenge thriller starring January Jones, Ed Harris and Jason Isaacs. Former prostitute Sarah (Jones) and her husband Miguel (Eduardo Noriega) simply want to tend to their humble patch of land and earn an honest living. However, their community is dominated by the zealous and not particularly pious preacher Josiah (Isaacs), who takes a shine to Sarah and her land. Brutally seizing what he desires through the murder of Miguel and the rape of Sarah is not unusual behaviour for Josiah, but the response it receives is. An incandescent Sarah, driven mad by grief and despair, embarks on a murderous rampage that takes aim at Josiah but encompasses almost anyone unfortunate enough to stumble across her path. Can the eccentric Sheriff Jackson (Harris), in town to investigate a previous crime committed by Josiah, find a way to rein her in?

But when Rodriguez becomes unwilling to cooperate the situation gets out of hand leaving Django to rely on his sharpshooting to make it out alive.

Seeking his revenge during a poker game gone bad, Doc West soon finds himself in the local jail. On their journey they meet the attractive but fierce Akemi (Narisa Suzuki) and a host of other outlaws, but soon they are all in danger of becoming the latest victims of the ruthless Mondego gang who seem to possess dark and dangerous powers.
Classic western in which the inhabitants of an isolated cavalry fort attempt to escape down the Colorado river after they are besieged by Ute Indians. When Captain Harper (William Talman) and his men return from a patrol they are perturbed to find their fort under siege. They presume the reason for the onslaught to be their capture of Brett Halliday (Dana Andrews), who deserted the army to live with the Utes. Either way, Harper and his men have no choice but to attempt a dangerous escape down the rapids of the Colorado river, with the Utes in hot pursuit.

In '6 Guns' (2010) frontier widow Selina Stevens (Sage Mears) enlists the help of bounty hunter Frank Allison (Barry Van Dyke) to teach her how to fire a six-shooter. Having witnessed the cold-blooded killing of her husband and two sons by the notorious outlaw Lee Horn (Geoff Meed) and his gang, Selina intends to take a very personal form of revenge. 'Age of the Gunslinger' stars Angus Macfadyen as the notorious saloon owner, Will Tunney, who shatters the childhood innocence of James Conners (Justin Ament) when he murders the boy's father (William Sadler). 15 years on, Conners returns to his hometown of Legend, New Mexico to avenge his father's death and to renew his relationship with long-lost love Mary (Marnie Alton), but discovers Tunney to be a formidable opponent. In 'Redemption' (2009) Dustin Leighton stars as Frank Harden, a man on the run who rescues a lost Mexican girl forced to work as a prostitute. It soon transpires, however, that our hero is harbouring some dark secrets of his own and faces a battle against himself as well as his enemies.
Coen Brothers updating of the classic 1969 western starring Jeff Bridges as U.S. Marshal 'Rooster' Cogburn, originally played by John Wayne. After her father is murdered, 14-year-old Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld) sets out to capture the killer, Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin), with the help of two lawmen - the ageing, alcoholic marshall Rooster Cogburn (Bridges), and Texas Ranger La Boeuf (Matt Damon). Determined to accompany them on their quest, Mattie wonders whether Cogburn, with his loose morals, has the required 'true grit' for the job. When Chaney's trail heads into Indian territory, Mattie, stubborn to the last, insists on joining the pair in their search, which soon finds them in a raft of dangerous adventures that will test them to the core.
Collection of five classic western epics. In 'Pale Rider' (1985) a community of gold mining prospectors comes under attack from a gang of marauders, who are after the prospectors' land. Young Megan Wheeler (Sydney Penny) prays for help, which consequently arrives in the form of the Preacher (Clint Eastwood), a grim, silent stranger. The Preacher takes up the community's cause, and sets out to repel the invaders. 'The Searchers' (1965) tells the story of Ethan Edwards (John Wayne), an ex-confederate soldier who swears revenge after his brother's family is butchered by Comanches and his niece (Natalie Wood) is kidnapped. Accompanied by Martin Pawley (Jeffrey Hunter), a young foundling raised by the family, Ethan sets out on a epic seven-year search for the missing girl. But as their quest draws to a close, Martin begins to realise the extent to which Ethan has been dehumanised by his own thirst for revenge. 'The Outlaw Josey Wales' (1976) follows Josey Wales (Eastwood), a peaceful farmer at the time of the American Civil War, who becomes a Confederate outlaw in order to avenge his family's death at the hands of Union guerillas. His obsession with revenge slowly lifts, however, as he picks up various outcasts in the wilderness. Wales tries to protect his new 'family' by leading them to a safe haven where they can rebuild their lives. In 'The Wild Bunch' (1969), set in 1913, a gang of outlaws ride into a Texan border town where the railroad office is their target. The robbery turns into a blood-bath so the gang flee to a desert hideout where they discover that their loot is worthless. With the railroad company's hired guns snapping at their heels, they decide to escape to the apparent safety of the Mexican revolutionaries. In 'Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid' (1973) the old days of the West are passing, and outlaw-turned-sheriff Pat Garrett (James Coburn) is determined to move with the times. But with his former partner Billy the Kid (Kris Kristofferson) still at large in the territory, and the wish of the cattle barons that the rule of law be imposed with greater and greater force, Pat soon realises that his initial compromise will eventually lead him to betray everything he believes in.
Classic Western adventure starring Glenn Ford. One strand of the plot follows modern-day fortune hunter Barry Storm (William Prince) as he tries to discover the location of the legendary Lost Dutchman gold mine, owned by his long-dead grandfather, Jacob 'Dutchy' Walz (Glenn Ford). Interwoven with Storm's search are flashback sequences to 1880, following Walz as he goes about acquiring the mine, prepared to use any means, fair or foul, to achieve his ends. Walz meets his match when he falls for gold-digger Julia Thomas (Ida Lupino), whose treachery knows no bounds, but will she foil Storm as well?
Edward G. Robinson plays an unpleasant cattle baron whose wife (Barbara Stanwyck) is carrying on with his brother while he drives small landowners from his valley. Glenn Ford plays the hero of the piece, an ex-Civil War officer who undertakes a guerilla campaign on the disagreeable cattle-man. He sets about his tasks with relish, but the course of action leads, inevitably, to one final confrontation.
When Tate Noble returns to his childhood hometown, his presence stirs up commotion with the local authorities. Looking to right the wrong of his parents' deaths many moons ago, Tate and the sheriff enlist help from an unlikely source in an attempt to see justice served. Now, Tate will stop at nothing to avenge the murder of his mother and father.
