This is the fifth book in the excellent series by this author. For those who enjoy a well written crime series and are looking for something different do give this a try. It features a British police inspector and his Indian sergeant working to solve murders in British ruled India between the two world wars. Set in the time of the the Indian independence struggle, there is enough historical background to be interesting without boring. Well researched, strong story line, likable characters and very enjoyable touches of humour. The entire series has been hugely popular with my book club and has been an international best seller. Hope you enjoy.
