'Teacher and Comrade' explores South African resistance in the 20th
century, before and during apartheid, through the life of Richard
Dudley, a teacher/politico who spent 39 years in the classroom and
his entire life fighting for democracy. The book also paints a
picture of Cape Town during the apartheid years.
