new concept of "episcopal succession,"Alfred Wendehorst turns his
attention to the next Franconian medieval diocese for Germania
Sacra. Here, the Bishops of EichstAtt are presented in the tried
and tested manner, starting with St. Willibald and going up to
Gabriel von Eyb. This represents a first step towards a fuller
understanding of the Diocese of EichstAtt.
