Andrew Lloyd Webber is the epitome of popular musical theatre at this point in time, having written the two longest running shows in Broadway history. The only show, ever, to surpass "Cats" on Broadway is "The Phantom of The Opera".
This book contains most of the music from the musical, although the ONE song which I wish they had included is "The Awefull Battle of the Pekes and the Pollicles". Yes, the title of the song is actually spelt correctly. The book includes the lyrics of that song (or poem, if you will), at least.
The melody is not included in the piano part, except in "Memory", in which case it is. Even though it is not difficult to include the melody when playing it, I wish they had written that way. It feels rather like I am playing from a fake book if I want to include the melody.
Another thing which is was an inconvenience, although not exactly a problem, is the fact that the chords are written beneath the bars and not above them. It takes a while getting used to.
Anyway, it is a nice book, save for those little hitches.
