The codex Panciatichiano-Palatino 32 from the National Library in
Florence is the oldest manuscript of the Novellino. It is the first
Italian attempt to compile an organic collection of novellas, and
it precedes the famous work by Boccaccio by several decades. This
work represents a true-to-the original transcription of the entire
manuscript with a detailed analysis of the abbreviations and
graphic symbols.
