simplifications. However, its usefulness extends much further than
that. In the field of analysis, MACSYMA performs differentiation,
integration and the taking of limits. It can compute definite
integrals, change variables, perform integration by parts, reduce
rational polynomials into partial fractions and take Laplace
transforms. MACSYMA has several commands relating to Taylor Series
and asymptotic expansions.
