To reduce my work to fome regularity, i fhall proceed from the Eaft, Weftward, and begin with the Peninfula, dividing it into two parts, which i will call climates, the one beginning at Amelia or St. Mary's inlet, in latitude 31: and extending Southward to the latitude of 27: 40: this will include the rivers St. Mary, Naflau, St, John's or YlaccOi and the Mufketo Lagoon (for furely no one can call this laft a river) befides feveral final - ler ones, which will be mentioned in their places v A thefe chapter{Section 4tnefe all empty themfelves on the Eaftern fide of -the Apalachicola (the boundary between the two Floridas) the Ofkaulafkna the Apalachian, St. Juan de Guacaro, vulgarly called little Seguana, the river Arnaxura, and the Manatee, which laft falls into the bay .of Tampe, or harbour of Spirito Santo, and which i have firft difcovered. The other, or Southern climate, beginning at the latitude 27: 40: and extending Southward to the latitude of 25, on the main, or to 24: 17: including the keys; this contains a large river, 'which empties itfelf into the new harbour, of which i am the firft explorer, we have given it the name of Charlotte harbour, but neither harbo...
