Bruce Wilson was called up for National Service into the Australian
Army, serving in Vietnam from 1969 - 1970. He recorded all his day
to day activities in a pocket diary during his period of active
service. Together with details from letters that he mailed home to
his family, this published diary records accurate details of an
average Australian soldier at war in Vietnam. This diary not only
provides a captivating description of army life from a national
Serviceman's point of view, it also extends our understanding of
the war in Vietnam. Bruce Wilson's personal story is supported with
over 150 full colour photographs.
