Chris Bean is a well-known Cornish fisherman participating daily in
catching, marketing and industry issues for more than four decades.
His passions are oil painting, geology and fitness. He has had the
good fortune to serve as a fisheries consultant in many countries
of the developing world. The fictional work of Dahab draws on his
rich and varied experiences while working overseas with grass-roots
people combined with the knowledge retained from his original
profession as a mine geologist. Friends have described him as a
hopeless romantic.
