Amazonian landscape and its people presents a vibrant glimpse into
the hidden depths of the Worlds greatest rainforest. Life is
dramatically changing for the villagers of Todos Os Santos. As
danger and desire are unleashed the Amazon trembles and threatens
their very existence. Can the spirits of the forest save our
heroes? Will you be one of them? Inspired by the legacy left by the
martyred environmental activist and Brazilian people's hero Chico
Mendes, this play presents a unique cross-cultural collaboration
entwining the themes of activism and climate change with a
celebration of Brazilian culture. Acclaimed dramatist Colin Teevan
is the co-author of The Driver (2008) and has produced several
projects with theatres such as the TFANA in New York and Setagaya
Theatre in Tokyo, as well as concentrating upon writing originals
play for the London stage.
