Corrie Ten Boom stood naked with her older sister  Betsie, watching a concentration camp matron  beating a prisoner."Oh, the poor woman,"  Corrie cried."Yes. May God forgive her,"  Betsie replied. And, once again, Corrie realized that  it was for the souls of the brutal Nazi guards  that her sister prayed.

Here is a book aglow  with the glory of God and the courage of a quiet  Christian spinster whose life was transformed by  it. A story of Christ's message and the courageous  woman who listened and lived to pass it along --  with joy and triumph!

Review This Product

Fri, 15 Oct 2010 | Review by: Nicholas V.

This book gave a vivid account of Corrie and her sister's experiences when captured by German soldiers during the second world war. They tried to hide Jews who were trying to escape the wrath of the Germans launched against the entire Jewish nation. The book reads like a thriller movie, and it is almost incomprehensible that human beings could do the things they did to other human beings. A word of caution: Although you will be tempted to put the book down because of the unimaginable level of human abuse in it, you must finish it to understand how their faith in God, and a Bible smuggled in, carried them through their ordeal. The book will almost cause you to hate every German on earth, but beware that they were also victims of a system that forced them to treat Jews like garbage. The power of forgiveness, through the saving grace of an almighty, loving God, is a central theme that runs throughout the book.
