Damn...... That's big.

I have been hunting high and low for a good sized bag of plaster of Paris as the itsy bitsy little packets we are forced to buy barely make it through a single casting. And man did loot deliver! I was at the office that day, so I can 100% confirm that it's massive and heavy because my wife called me 14 times while trying to drag it up the driveway and felt she needed to inform me quite frequently of this. This is after trying to grab it over the gate from the courier and almost being crushed in the process, while he was trying to avoid been skewered by the spikes on top of the gate. This coupled with my apparent disregard for her struggle ensured I spent the night on the couch, which wasn't a train smash, it's like camping and I get the TV remote all to myself. But I have been casting my heart out, and the moulds have been perfect. I still get a bit of stink eye everytime I come ask for a new butter container to make my mould in. So worth it! Tip for others out there, use fridge water when mixing instead of tap water, this will prevent the rapid setting of the cast to allow you to remove the air and having to rush through the process using your chosen method. Personally I prefer a quick vacuum, but it helps with other methods too.
