First time author Daniel Richard Smith pays incredible attention to detail and historical accuracy, and as I went along, I found myself caught up in an incredible story of suffering, heartbreak, injustice, acceptance and love. By the end, I realized that every word was important to the story, all coming together in a surprising and emotional conclusion. Smith guides us through an important and tragic era in our human history, and Prinz David's Castle handles this intense subject matter with sometimes brutal honesty. Breathtaking, heartbreaking, suspenseful work of art. The way the author has woven different decades, different geography/countries and different characters is masterful.
