A loving story of a little girl named, Jaixai, who lives in a small
village in the Southeast Asian country of Laos. Jaixai learns the
value of hard work and truly believing in herself. She is asked to
be the lead performer in a Laotian traditional dance to honor their
distinguished overseas guests, King Sam, Queen Anna, and Princess
Harmony. The story is beautifully captured with intricate and
colorful illustrations and a few easy Laotian terms are also
introduced.
