During the making of his previous documentary 'Soundtrack to War',
director George Gittoes asked US soldier Elliot Lovett how it felt
to be in Iraq getting shot at. Elliot's reply was: 'Man, I get shot
at less here in Baghdad than at home in Miami'. The comment sparks
Gittoes imagination. He heads to Brownsville, Miami to find out
what is so bad about 'Brown Sub' that would make Baghdad during the
height of the second Iraq war feel safer. What he finds makes the
world in Eminem/50 Cent tunes look like a cartoon.
