Collections management practice is an often ignored aspect of
archaeological research and salvage activities in many Middle
Eastern countries, yet literally thousands of artefacts are
recovered every year with no real strategies for managing them
sustainably into the future. In this guide, archaeologist Dianne

of a last-ditch effort to solve on-site storage crises and
preservation problems at the end of a project, but as a means of
