Detective Nicolo Forgione has had a bad year. The scourge of his
own Boston Police Department for outing one of their own, he was
told by his doctor that he would die within the year if he didn't
take a vacation. So he reluctantly checks into Lawson's Golf Resort
on Cape Cod for a relaxing three weeks with his wife. Nothing but
sun and golf and good food. Much to the chagrin of his protective
wife, he is somehow pulled into solving the mysterious death of the
pregnant girlfriend of a famous Hollywood director who returns each
year to his summer home to direct live theatre at the local
playhouse.
