"From Macho to Mom" chronicles the adventures of motherhood from a
less-than-feminine perspective. Get inside the head of a retired
USAF Sergeant turned House-dad. Prepare for complete domestic
hilarity and a new-found appreciation for all the hard-working
mothers out there. Going into this book (a novella really), one
must realize that this is basically the laugh-out-loud journal
ramblings of a man that didn't understand what he was getting into
when he decided to don a house apron and become 'mom' while his
wife went out into the world to make the bacon. Let's face it gals-
men just 'do' and 'see' things differently. Not only that, the
writer is retired military, so his viewpoints when applied to
children are especially hilarious. This is a stay-at-home dad's
handbook on how to approach restless vacations, junk-food-itis,
inexplicable weight gain and the home shopping channel. It's not
just for men though, women everywhere will appreciate this as a
tribute to how very hard motherhood can be. This isn't a refined
book for the literature perfectionist; it's a roll-on-the-floor,
completely imperfect, and true-to-life picture of the 'normal'
home. Kids are messy, pets are messier and everyone steps in poo
once in a while.
