Euripides takes the old myth of Orestes' and Elektra's revenge on
their mother Klytemnestra for their father Agamemnon's murder and
reinterprets it in realistic, human terms. This translation was
first performed together with 'Orestes and Iphigeneia in Tauris' as
'Agamemnon's Children' at the Gate Theatre, London, in 1995.
