Uganda's Nakivubo swamp has been receiving wastewater from Kampala
for over 30 years and consists of a floating root mat. It's
potential to remove nutrients and pathogens from wastewater in a
sustainable way, while maintaining ecological quality and
biodiversity, is investigated in this work.
