century BC. It includes part of Cornelius Nepos' Miltiades,
sections of Caesar's De Bello Civili Book II, Sallust's De Bello
Jugurthino, Livy Books II and V, and three short extracts from
Cicero -- Pro Milone, De Amicitia and a letter to Atticus. All are
chosen for the intrinsic interest of their content and ease of
narrative.
