In these memoirs, Herbert Thompson reflects on the two great
experiences of his life: as a young fighter pilot exhilarating in
the challenges of flying in the First World War and later, in the
service of the Raj. The book also includes a translation of the
German WWI ace, Hans Waldhausen's memoirs. The two former
combatants became friends later in life.
