I pre-ordered this book and Loot literally got it to me as soon as it was released in the USA.
Really impressed with their efficient service.
This book is perfect for botanical lovers who want to learn watercolour painting from scratch, as Jenna has illustrated what you will need and even shares the angles necessary for holding your brushes.
And if you have some experience painting. There are great tutorials that build on your experience.
I love how the book is structured into different section. With each section teaching you the fundamental techniques necessary to follow along with the beautiful paintings pictured in the book.
It is not necessary to purchase all the materials suggested in the book, you can start painting with what you have at home. And once you feel confident then you can invest in supplies.
I really recommend buying the opera rose pigment from Winsor Newton. It is a beautiful happy pigment and is used extensively throughout the book.
Be sure to check out the author's blog, youtube channel and instagram pages for freebies and extra tutorials. I have been following her for 2 years and she is really lovely and engaging on her social platforms.
All the best with your watercolour practice
Kindest regards
Nabeelah
