The classic memoir of a white man's life among the Blackfeet
Indians in Montana in the mid-1800s. Schultz married a Blackfeet
woman, spoke the Blackfeet language, and was inducted into the
tribe. His first-hand experiences enabled Schultz to accurately
describe religious ceremonies and customs, tribal life, buffalo
hunting, war parties, raids and much more. Of great interest to
ethnologists and students of Native American history.
