TITLE: BROTHERS and SISTERS OF THE SOIL A public awareness book
about the various forms of child abuse. A compilation of actual
stories the author has collected over the years, phrased into prose
and poetry. EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK LITTLE GIRL IN A LIGHT BLUE DRESS
Little girl in the light blue dress, All dressed up and grown,
Running 'midst the dandelions, Blowing seeds as the leaves are
thrown Here and there and everywhere. Dreaming seems . . . as she
roams To come easily to this child, Living in the wild. (Her other
home) Give her an apple to chew on, Grapes to suck free from the
seeds, Carrots from the garden, And fl owers . . . some call weeds.
No more doth this little girl need 'Cept a turtle, or maybe two.
Growing up is easy for this fairy In her lovely, little dress of
blue. Oh what misery awaits this child, We will never know- As she
was killed -- by a pedophile; Now she will never grow. *Go rest in
God's bosom, My own stricken dear, Though the earth fled from thee,
Thy home is there. I find you still in the smile That no cloud can
o'ercast, And in my heart, Remembering you Till the very last. *The
author is paying homage to Poet Thomas Moore
