Lee's father, a local history teacher, is lost on a rugged Idaho
mountain. She is continuing to search for him, three years after
everyone else has given up. Trace, a young Indian orphan raised by
his Grandfather, is drawn to the mountain to find acceptance in his
Indian heritage and the peace he found in his grandfather's
teachings. A chance meeting brings the two together in a brief
romantic encounter. The encounter haunts him as much as his
grandfather haunts his life. He runs to the wilds of Alaska in
attempt to escape the memories. But it appears that his
grandfather's ghost will not rest until the two are reunited.
