Lifespace Japanese Yanagiba Traditional Damascus Sashimi or Filleting Knife. A magnificent Yanagiba Japanese style traditional Damascus sushi / sashimi knife - 270mm in length with the perfect balance and weight! Designed for cutting sashimi, these knives are used for slicing raw fish by pulling the knife towards you. If you move the knife on both ways (a sawing motion), the surface will look uneven and dull. Longer length and single-sided blades. Care Instructions: Always wash the knives by hand to protect the material and maintain long lasting sharpness. Immediately after each use, clean the blade under running water and dry with a soft cloth. Never place the blades in the dishwasher. Use only wooden boards or plastic cutters with medium strength. Keep the knives in a blade protector, in a knife block, on a wall magnetic board. Blades are not suitable for cutting bones (including of fish) or frozen foods.
