Photographer Mat Roe's many journeys to Cambodia serve as testimony
to the uniqueness of the country and its people. His first visit
was in 1998 shortly after the death of Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot,
and in the 10 years since, he has traveled back nearly a dozen
times. His images include important and unique monuments,
spectacular views of the countryside, glorious landscapes, and
details of city and daily life that few have ever seen. This book
is full of photographs detailing the fact that life goes on,
despite numerous attempts through the years to destroy this country
known as the Kingdom of Cambodia.
