This solo, written in 4/4 meter and the key of A minor, creates the
perfect air of a mystery. The melody is divided between the right
and left hands and also features blocked intervals of seconds and
thirds. Staccato notes, changes in octaves and occasional
accidentals add to the "whodunit" atmosphere. The optional duet
accompaniment helps to create suspense and drama. A Federation
Festivals 2014-2016 selection.
