Stealing the heads of husband and wife, they used them for rituals for the purpose of obtaining spiritual power and bringing about the end of the world. This book, written by a deputy sheriff who assisted with the investigation, tells the true story of this incident, and also of the decisions made by leaders in society that brought increasing crime and violence to rural America.
