2008 marked the 150th birthday of Nobel Laureate Ludwig Quidde, who
led the Prussian Historical Institute in Rome from 1890 to 1892.
During his time there, he initiated the Repertorium Germanicum,
which remains one of the most important undertakings in pure
historical research to this day. This anthology pays tribute to
Ludwig Quidde s life and work, focusing in particular on his
activities within the peace movement."
