Fragmementos is the exercise of a broad poetic license by Milton
Rosen, from his teenage years, through war and a working life, and
into a Florida retirement. The poems reflect and refract nine
decades of living, observing life and pondering the universe. The
poems present a scattered collection of lyrical, musing quests for
unifying truths and whimsical and fantastical observations inspired
by both science and science fiction. Descriptions of love in all
its scintillations-flirtation, romance, illusion and loss-weave in
and out; and four years of a youth spent in World War II are
reflected in the beauty of far places and the poignancy and humor
of a soldier's life. 'The pun is low.it makes us all see red,
states one verse. Beware Sprinkled through Fragmementos, like
little firecrackers, are punning poems of the silliest sort in
shades of scarlet, vermillion, and fire engine red Milton Rosen's
poems have appeared regularly in Bell's Letters, and have been
published in The Oak, Parnassus Literary Journal, Saint Joseph's
Messenger and Poetry.com. singer, horn and violoncello, debuted at
